Supporting Our President

(Missoula) - Congressional candidate Tyler Gernant has called on Dennis McDonald to drop his bid for a single payer health care system and support President Obama's plan to provide quality, affordable health care for all Montanans.

During a nationally televised speech, President Obama made it clear that America urgently needs to enact health care reform and a single payer system is not the way it should be done.

"Now is the time to move forward with health care. Too many Montana families are being driven into bankruptcy because of medical costs. Too many people are being denied care because of pre-existing conditions. We cannot afford to wait any longer. President Obama made it clear that we need to move forward. As a Montanan, I hope that Dennis McDonald will join me in supporting President Obama's plan for quality, affordable health care."

As a fiscal conservative, Gernant also praised President Obama for putting forth a plan that would not add to the national debt.
